Perfect circles with the TTR circular formwork!

A 3,000 m³ fresh water tank, formed with TTR and Modular

A circular water tank with a capacity of 3,000 m³ was constructed as part of the renovation of the fresh water system in the Algerian Province of Chlef.
Chiali SERVICES Spa, a 100% subsidiary of the Chiali GROUP, that has also been carrying out public infrastructure construction projects for several years, used formwork systems from PASCHAL for the construction of the concrete tank.

The long-term and cooperative partnership that has existed since 2008 is characterised by regular training courses both on site and at PASCHAL's headquarters.

The TTR formwork units for the concreting of the 40 cm thick reinforced concrete wall rise up 6 metres high. They are positioned on upstand base plate that are sloped inwards.

In this way, it is ensured that the product upgrades and optimisations for the formwork and shoring systems are put to the best possible use in Algeria.

Formwork experts from Steinach accompanied their Algerian colleagues during the first formwork processes for the fresh water tank, so that the subsequent formwork and concreting work could be coordinated independently by the Algerian formwork experts.

Reinforced concrete fresh water tank

The circular reinforced concrete base plate covers a surface area of 531 m². The circular reinforced concrete wall based on this plate rises 7.50 metres into the air and is realised with a wall thickness of 40 cm with an interior diameter of 25 metres.
For the formwork materials, Chiali SERVICES Spa is using 310 m² of the TTR circular formwork system, extended with 204 m² of the Modular universal formwork system.

Perfect circles are guaranteed with the TTR Trapezoidal girder formwork, which is why it is used all over the world, wherever circular reinforced concrete constructions are to be built. With this circular formwork system, perfect curvatures with any radius can be formed precisely, simply and quickly.
The Trapezoidal girder formwork can be continuously adjusted, for diameters of 2 to 5 metres and from 5 metres to an unlimited distance. It can be used both horizontally and vertically. With only 0.28 to 0.55 ties/m², it is conducive to quick construction progress.

The Modular universal formwork is the safe and fast alternative solution to conventional timber formwork. It can be found all over the world wherever adaptability and flexibility combined with easy handling are important. With the Modular formwork, anything from the smallest surface areas right up to large-scale applications of reinforced concrete structures can be realised without any problems. Element heights start at 62.5 cm and go to 150 cm. Element widths go from 5 cm to 100 cm and give the user an enormous range of flexibility, which is extended even further by the plastic filler elements.
