New panel sizes for LOGO wall formwork

PASCHAL innovations

2.70 m or 1.35 m high and 3.40 m wide

New panel sizes of LOGO wall formwork
The new formwork panels are 3.40 m wide and 2.70 m or 1.35 m high.

Steinach (Baden, Germany)

One of the most successful kinds of wall formwork in Europe is LOGO.3 from PASCHAL, the formwork manufacturer and service provider in Baden. With their many heights and widths, LOGO formwork panels made of profiled flat steel frames offer such a clever range to choose from that concrete formwork in the system can be adapted to 1.0 cm conveniently and in a resource-saving way according to site conditions.

At the recent bauma trade fair the first formwork panels with a height of 3.40 m were presented, adapted to the storey height of firms or industrial plants. (For conventional buildings, panels with a height of 2.40 m or 2.70 m were and still are fully adequate.)
In addition to the former formwork panels there are now also new LOGO formwork panels that promise even more benefits.

The new panels have the heights 135 and 270 cm, at a width of 3.40 m.

The former panels mostly have heights of 2.40 m, 2.70 m and 3,05 m; even for the 3.40 m height there are already narrow elements with widths of 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 75, 90 and 240 cm available; added to that are filler posts, multi-panels and corners.

The new panels are very advantageous new additions to the product range, since each formwork panel can be used both in vertical as well as in horizontal position.
Whether standing or lying, the tie points of the various panels match one another so that here a uniform and visually appealing picture is generated, and it makes working with the formwork even easier than it would be if each tie point was at a different height.

In residential construction, formwork is often used for the basement area; here the typical height is 2.70 m. By comparison, in industrial construction the formwork height is typically 3.40 m. So the 3.40 m x 2.70 m panel is optimized for both kinds of construction site.

Because of the large dimensions there are fewer formwork panels per wall area, and also less equipment – especially connecting pieces – to be mounted. This considerably reduces the time required for forming. And the larger the area per panel is, the smaller the number and length of joints between the panels.

At 12 cm, the frame depth is extremely small, which makes transport and logistics easier. The permissible pressure from fresh concrete is 70 kN/m².  The plywood sheet is made of 11-layer, 15 mm thick birch plywood.
In the production plant each of the new formwork panels is fitted with RFID transponders.
